Cleveland, OH (April 2012) – Adalet now offers Division 1 / Zone 1 explosionproof enclosures constructed from stainless steel 316L. Designed for use in highly corrosive areas, the new cast stainless steel explosionproof enclosures provide the perfect construction material for offshore, petrochem, or volatile industrial areas where environmental conditions require additional corrosion protection.
The XCESX series of cast stainless steel explosionproof enclosures provide an alternative to traditional cast aluminum explosionproof enclosures which may become compromised or could break down over time in highly corrosive areas. Rated for Class I, Division 1 / Zone 1 hazardous locations, the XCESX enclosure series carries UL, cUL, ATEX, and IECEx approvals for global applications.
Five standard sizes make up the initial offering from internal dimensions of 10”W x 14”H x 8”D up to 24”W x 36”H x 10”D. Features include a watertight gasket and stainless steel cover bolts for Type 4X / IP66 ratings, stainless steel hinge kit, mounting panel, removable lifting eye bolts, cover alignment device, cast-on mounting lugs, and internal / external ground screws. A flat plate cover allows for additional working area for viewing windows and operating devices such as pushbuttons, selector switches, and pilot lights.

ADALET OFFERS EXPLOSIONPROOF COOLER ASSEMBLY FOR HIGH TEMPERATURE APPLICATIONS
Cleveland, OH (November 2012) – Adalet announces a new explosionproof enclosure cooler assembly designed specifically for VFD or high temperature applications in hazardous locations. The XICE explosionproof cooler provides a means for heat removal from an explosionproof enclosure keeping temperature ranges at or below acceptable levels.
The XICE explosionproof enclosure cooler uses a series of cold plates and supply lines though which water or coolant liquid is circulated. The cold plates and supply line are installed on the back of an Adalet explosionproof enclosure and the fluid supply can come from the use of a separate chiller unit, existing plant chilled water, or existing tap water. The circulation of the water or coolant liquid draws out heat from inside the enclosure prolonging the useful life of the equipment installed inside.
The XICE system is a low maintenance design which uses no moving parts such as fans or filters which may require periodic replacement. The cold plates are not susceptible to damage from a gas explosion and no hazardous location approval is required for the cold plates or supply lines. The low temperature limit is determined by the temperature of the coolant and a separate chiller unit installed in a safe area can be connected to the enclosure with flexible tubing or piping. Minimal enclosure machining is required and the entire volume of the enclosure is available for mounting equipment. Optional internal heat sinks can be added to enhance the thermal performance and the system can also be used as a heater for extreme cold applications.

ADALET OFFERS NEMA 9 ENCLOSURES FOR CLASS II DUST-IGNITION PROOF ENVIRONMENTS
Cleveland, OH (October 2012) –. Adalet has designed a new line of NEMA Type 9 enclosures designed specifically for use in Class II, Division 1 and 2 locations. Designed for applications where explosions could be caused by dust from rubber, grain, sugar, plastic powder, and other materials, the Adalet Type 9 enclosures are intended for indoor or outdoor use in locations classified as Class II, Groups E, F, or G, and shall be capable of preventing the entrance of dust. Enclosed heat generating devices shall not cause external surfaces to reach temperatures capable of igniting or discoloring dust on the enclosure or igniting dust-air mixtures in the surrounding atmosphere
Available in screw cover (D9SC) or clamped cover (D9N), the enclosure sizes range from 09Hx06Wx05D to 60Hx36Wx10D and include a watertight gasket for Type 4X protection. The D9N series of enclosures consist of a watertight gasket, clamped cover, continuous piano type hinge, internal grounding lug, and optional gland plates. The D9SC series of enclosures consist of a watertight gasket, hex head cover bolts, internal grounding lug, and optional gland plates. The enclosures may be mounted in a vertical or horizontal position and can be fitted with up to two gland plates per side to provide future expansion and configuration.
