Deepwater riser installation
Subsea production riser is an important part of the offshore production system. The following are the general steps for installation:

Pre-Lay and Recovery OR Pipelay into Host
Riser hung off Installation Vessel on A&R cable
Transfer / Hand-off
- Platform system deploys downline
- Vessel collects downline
- Connect downline to transfer head
- Deploy riser to depth on A&R cable
- Transfer riser load to platform downline
Pull-In
- Lift riser to platform hang-off point and connect steering lines to transfer head
- Pull-in and steer riser into basket
Hang-off
Land out SCR into load bearing point
Hook-up
Connect interconnecting hull piping
