Elements: An International Magazine of Mineralogy, Geochemistry, and Petrology, established in January 2005, is a bimonthly magazine, published by 16 scientific societies (see below). It publishes peer reviewed papers which are part of a theme based collection, along with other types of articles. The co-editors are David J. Vaughan (University of Manchester), Harry Y. McSween (University of Tennessee), James I. Drever (University of Wyoming). The focus of this magazine is broad coverage of the mineral sciences.
Scope
Coverage includes invited peer reviewed papers for thematic collections. The each different thematic collection is the focus of a particular published issue. Proposed topics of interest are submitted to editors for review. The magazine also covers conference reports, policy news, as well as news of the Societies.
