Description: GPA provided the Basic/Class Design and Detailed Construction Engineering after competing in Petrobras’ demanding bidding process for the GPA 688SC PSV that was designed to meet the requirements of the Petrobras 4500 PSV.
Details:
Throughout the design and engineering process, GPA worked closely with the shipyard and equipment suppliers to meet Petrobras’ requirements for these vessels owned and operated by Brazilian-based Starnav Serviços Marítimos Ltda. GPA’s design standards offer an economical solution based on many years of working together with clients in developing the most practical and econmical design, giving the vessel the features and functions that operators and crew members appreciate during construction, operation and maintenance The result is a customized vessel with optimized cargo capacity, improved fuel consumption, ease of maintenance, redundancy, excellent maneuverability and highest safety and comfort standards. These proven standards, such as single-curvature hull forms and other structural arrangements along with the flexibility of free equipment manufacturer choice enables shipyards to build more vessels in less calendar time in a cost-efficient manner.


Name: GPA 675J PSV
Description: GPA was awarded a contract to deliver the Basic Design, Regulatory Design, Production Engineering and on-site support for two GPA 675J PSVs for Jackson Offshore Operators. The vessels will be constructed at BAE Systems in Jacksonville, Florida.

Throughout the design and engineering process, GPA worked closely with Jackson Offshore Operators and BAE Systems to meet all operational requirements, giving the ships the features and functions that operators and crew members appreciate during construction, operation and maintenance. The result is a customized vessel with optimized cargo capacity, improved fuel consumption, ease of maintenance, redundancy, excellent maneuverability and highest safety and comfort standards for the 34 crew members the vessel can accommodate. GPA’s proven design standards offer an economical solution that evolved throughout recent years by working with clients in developing the most practical and economical vessel. These established standards include single-curvature hulls, transverse framing and flanged plate framing and enable shipyards to build more vessels in less calendar time in a cost-saving manner. The vessels will enter into service in 2014.


Name: GPA 254L AHTS / Bourbon Liberty 200
Description: In 2012, GPA completed a major milestone with the delivery of the last of 54 GPA 254L AHTS vessels, also known as the Bourbon Liberty 200 series, at Zhejiang Shipyard in China.
Details:
In 2006, BOURBON Offshore placed an order with GPA for the Basic Design and Contract/Regulatory Package for 26 of these identical vessels. The order was expanded by 28 vessels. Designed specifically to BOURBON’s requirements, this large series of new-generation vessels supports the replacement market of technically obsolete offshore vessels worldwide. As one of the global leaders in the design of modern offshore vessels with over 140 vessels in service or under construction, GPA brought an extensive level of knowledge and experience to this long-term project, setting a high value on technical and economical benefits to both the operator and shipyard.
