Power Save ESP systems
We would like to present successful results of application of Power Save ESP systems enabling customers to reduce OPEX during oil production, real case studies show savings by even up to 43% of consumed power/barrel vs. conventional ESP systems. Power Save ESP system incorporates unique equipment: Power Save pumps (with changed geometry for increased efficiency and design to be able to withstand rotation speed by up to 6000 rpm) and Permanent Magnet Motors (with efficiency up to 94% vs. 86% in conventional induction motors), as well as: Power Save comprehensive approach: sizing and constant operation at Best Efficiency Point, supported by special VSD algorithms. Novomet has already installed more than 1000 permanent magnet motors and more than 350 Power Save systems in various locations: Russia, Kazakhstan, Colombia, Egypt and in all projects such equipment has proven to be Power Save and it brings real OPEX reduction. Technical benefits include not only increased general efficiency of the system, but as well application of Power save equipment allows to use smaller cable size, smaller transformer ratings, avoid application of shroud in wells where with conventional it was used. One of the most important benefits of Power Save equipment is possibility to increase number of wells using the same power plant capacity.
