Products

Name: Water Analyzer
Description: A product first introduced in 1992 as a joint venture with Atlantic Richfield Company for use in Alaska. A microwave based technology which compensates automatically for the variables to provide excellent measurement from ppm levels to 100% water.
Details:
The Low Range Analyzer is typically used for custody transfer or pipelines. The Full Range analyzer is used for well testing on three phase separators. Salinity does not affect the measurement because of Phase Dynamics ability to properly calculate salinity based on the Heuristic Salinity™ (optional). Phase Dynamics utilizes the unique, patented, Oscillator Load Pull microwave technology which provides for this outstanding capability. The LCD display or optional color touch screen indicates the measurement value as well as temperature, net oil, net water, and phase of the emulsion (full range only). Full digital Modbus RTU access to the information is standard. Electronics are available in NEMA 4 or explosion proof enclosures.

Name: Compact Cyclone Multiphase System
Description: The system is a modern version of a traditional 2 phase separator. Standard industry methods for water cut and gas/liquid flow measurement are used. The unique gas/liquid separator design has been used across the world for process separator improvement.
Details:
Well testing can be done quickly and accurately. An integrated control system has been designed by Phase Dynamics to simplify and improve performance for maximum system reliability. Simple operator commands start, stop and display well test results. There are no extra transmitters or PC’s required. The CCM can be used as a stand-alone system using the local operator interface, control and display, or remotely using the digital interface via Modbus. The first stage of gas liquid separation has a swirl element to create tangential velocity for separation. The second and third stages complete the separation of liquids from the gas by using demisting elements. The separated liquid is routed through a full-range microwave water cut analyzer forming an integral part of the CCM. There are no issues with salinity affecting the measurement because of Phase Dynamics’ unique Heuristic Salinity™.

New Technology for Parts Per Million Water in Condensate Introduced
Measurement of water percentage during gas well condensate water removal by coalescing filters is a key to prevent hydrates from forming in offshore pipelines. Although various methods of measurement have been investigated, the uncertainty of the water percentage measurement at ppm levels is large even with manual sampling. The challenge of measuring the water percentage of a flowing liquid condensate stream cannot be solved using prior technologies as they are either compromised by water slugs or the sensitivity to ppm levels exceeds even the temperature compensation required to achieve these levels of resolution. A new method which provides the ability to measure low levels of water has been developed and field proven to obtain reproducible real time measurements at the ppm level. The patented technology involved has proven performance in a demanding application in Australia. Please visit booth 3504 at OTC or our website (www.phasedynamics.com) for additional information.
