Profire Energy (OTCBB: PFIE) is a multinational corporation that participates within the general framework of the Oil Service Industry by providing “Burner Management Systems” burners to the companies involved in the drilling and transportation of oil and natural gas. With corporate headquarters in Spruce Grove, Alberta, and Lindon, Utah, Profire is focusing on targeting the market on both sides of the border. [1]. Profire Energy developed and sells a circuit & software module system that manages the combustion burner process. This process is a critical element to the end user as it heats the oil and gas, making it easier and more efficient to transport, and the heating is further used for other processes such as the separation of water, wax and other impurities from the raw material. Profire Energy's products have become widely used in the Oil and Gas industry, with sales to such companies as Exxon-Mobil, Shell, ConocoPhillips, Devon Energy, Petro-Canada and Encana [2].

History

Profire Energy was established March of 2002 due to a high demand of Burner supplies, services, and products in the oil field. The current CEO, Brenton W. Hatch, and COO, Harold E. Albert, co-founded Profire Combustion Inc. Soon after Profire’s inception, a control panel for the management of burners was developed, a system called the Profire 1100. At this point Profire Combustion made the corporate decision to go public under the name of Profire Energy Inc (OTCBB: PFIE). This, along with other corporate decisions, has resulted in a consistent grown pattern, even during the recession.
