Safety Services Company is a safety training and supply provider headquartered in Tempe, AZ, 2626 S. Roosevelt St. Suite #2.[1] The company also has a second location in Yuma, AZ, 2995 S. Pacific Ave.,[2] and is currently expanding into Phoenix.

The company was founded in 2003[3] by safety professional Devon Dickinson, who had the idea to offer weekly safety meeting to the construction industry. However, he could not find an existing company willing to partner with him to launch the product line.

With no takers available Dickinson invested his life savings in the company, set up a card table, purchased a list of phone numbers, hired eleven employees and began calling numbers on the list in an attempt to sell his meetings.In the first year of operations Dickinson’s new company Safety Services, earned about $400k in revenue, just breaking even on the initial investment.

By 2008 the business was named the 1,316 fastest growing company in the United States by Inc. magazine with a growth rate of 288.3 percent. That year the company's revenue exceeded $5.3 million and the company employed 30 people.[4]

In 2009 the company was named the 1,313 fastest growing company in the U.S. by Inc. magazine. That year the company experienced a growth rate of 242 percent, had revenues of $8 million and employed 85 people. In its industry base Inc named the company the 99th fastest growing.[5]

In 2010 the company once again earned growth honors from Inc Magazine, being named the 2,112 fastest growing business in the U.S. That year the company's employment force grew to 362 people and revenues climbed to $9.3 million.[6]

The Inc. 5000 is ranked according to percentage revenue growth during a four-year period. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by the first week of the calendar year, and therefore able to show four full calendar years of sales. Additionally, companies must be U.S.-based, privately held, and independent—not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies—as of December 31 of the last year measured. Revenue in the initial year must have been at least $200,000, and revenue in the most recent year must have been at least $2 million.[7]

To facilitate the growth the company opened an office in Tempe, AZ and is currently expanding into Phoenix,AZ.

In addition to the Arizona offices Dickinson used his profits to open a phone marketing company, National Marketing Solutions, in Oregon.
