MACHINIST

Set-up and operate computerized numerically controlled machines and/or production equipment; strictly following blueprints, specifications or instructions.Interpret blueprints to ensure accurate machine set-up.Verify work order procedures and instructions pertaining to machining operations.Use precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions.May operate overhead cranes and forklifts to load and unload material/equipment as required.Identify/stamp parts for traceability.Operate electric grinders, deburring tools, etc.Operate hand tools necessary to set-up cutting tools in the appropriate machine.Clean and lubricate equipment; report non-routine malfunctions or abnormalities to appropriate personnel.Focused on continuous improvement in all areas. Minimum requirements: Four (4)+ years CNC machining of oil & gas equipment.High school diploma or general education degree (GED).Mechanical aptitude.Ability to use measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers.Ability to identify product and product components.Preferred requirements:Four (4)+ years FANUC CNC programming skills.Four (4)+ years experience with blueprints.Post-secondary CNC technical courses.Previous experience operating CNC equipment/machines.Experience working within a manufacturing environment.Forklift operation certification.Experience with operating overhead crane.
