Specialist Project Engineer II

Purpose:  

·         Coordinate and integrate multidiscipline scope of work to ensure safe and timely delivery of the well site facility to Operations. Scope of work includes but is not limited to:

·         Promote safety leadership through behavior based observations and provide coaching on JRAs.

·         Coordination of construction HAZIDs and design HAZOPs and reviews and close out of action items

·         Prepare Facility Definition Sheet (Basis of Design) and coordinates with the NAS engineering team to have engineering design package created for Mechanical, Process, and E&I.

·         Review P&IDs to ensure site specific changes are incorporated

·         Prepare site specific work packs for construction team

·         Prepare Allocation Flow Diagram and obtains meter numbers from SCADA group

·         Coordinate with PU surface engineering and Operations to ensure that lessons learnt from previous projects are addressed (e.g. AAR actions, MOCs)

·         Address technical problems in the field during construction or liaises with engineering team as necessary

·         Prepare commissioning P&IDs

·         Review latest quotes obtained from Supply for technical correctness

·         Prepare purchase requisition request form for equipment and materials

·         Review facilities section of well AFE

·         Provide schedule and cost book updates

·         Facilitate project kickoff meetings, Mechanical Completion walkdowns, Pre-Startup Reviews, after action reviews, and well quality index

·         Facilitate Mechanical punchlist and ensure all action items are closed

·         Produce project handover package and ensure its delivery to Operations

Qualifications

·         BS or equivalent degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university

·         5 or more years' experience in Chemical or Mechanical engineering in the oil and gas industry

 

Experience & Technical Competencies

·         Good knowledge of industry codes and standards ASME / ANSI / API / NFPA / CSA codes (ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, 49 CFR 192 & 195)

·         Good understand in the design and construction of oil and gas production facilities
