Field Engineer/Project Engineer I

Purpose:  

·         Assist in the coordination and integration of multidiscipline scope of work to ensure safe and timely delivery of the well site facility to Operations. Scope of work includes but is not limited to:

·         Promote safety leadership through behavior based observations and provide coaching on JRAs.

·         Active participation in construction HAZIDs and design HAZOPs and reviews

·         Review P&IDs to ensure site specific changes are incorporated

·         Assist in the preparation of site specific work packs for construction team

·         Coordinate with PU surface engineering and Operations to ensure that  lessons leant from previous projects are communicated back to the engineering team

·         Address technical problems in the field during construction by liaising with engineering team

·         Assist in preparation of commissioning P&IDs

·         Participate in project kickoff meetings, Mechanical Completion walkdowns, Pre-Startup Reviews, and after action reviews

·         Facilitate Mechanical punchlist and ensure all action items are closed

Qualifications

·         BS or equivalent degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university

·         2 or more years' experience in Chemical or Mechanical engineering in the oil and gas industry

 

Experience & Technical Competencies

·         Basic knowledge of industry codes and standards ASME / ANSI / API / NFPA / CSA codes (ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, 49 CFR 192 & 195)

·         Basic understanding of the design and construction of oil and gas production facilities
