Chief Mechanic

We are currently hiring for Chief Mechanic position for our client on a drilling rig:

General Responsibilities:

Duties includes but is not limited to the following:

Supervises, directs and controls the activities in mechanical/maintenance and repair on the rig. Instruct all personnel assigned to him of their duties, their responsibilities and the necessary safety precautions prior to start up of any work. Ensures that daily and weekly routine maintenance are performed. Investigates breakdowns, assesses level of skill necessary to perform repairs and assigns work to surbordinates or, alternatively directs and participates personally in repairs. Carries out other similar or related duties such as observing rig safety procedures, practicing good housekeeping, checking and maintaining life saving equipment. Job Requirements:

A minimum of 10 years of oilfield experience with at least 8 years in similar capacity Prior experience with drilling instrumentation and hydraulic drive systems OPITO approved Offshore Survival Certificate including HUET Valid Offshore Medical Certifcate by OGUK (Validity of 1 year) Willing to work Worldwide
