Inventory Specialist

Job function/Scope:

Inventory Specialist will provide material movement and technical expertise to Peterson (United Kingdom) Ltd customers and assits in the implementation of agreed strategy. 

Job Location:

Aberdeen with Travel

Roles & responsibilities:

·         Identify best practice with regard to inventory management techniques of Customer materials stored in Petereson (United Kingdom) Ltd facilities, implementing improvements where required. 

·         Ensure all materials are stored in accordance with Peterson (United Kingdom) Ltd and customers's system requirements.

·         In conjunction with the Warehouse Manager and Supervisor, assess staff competency and identify any training requirements and ensure good working practices are applied in respect of warehouse layout, racking, lay down areas and yard layout. 

·         Maintain a high standard of housekeeping at all times in conjunction with current Peterson (United Kingdom) Ltd warehouse policies and procedures.

·         Ensure the accuracy of customer system records (SAP or equivalanet) for all inventory items and materials movements are updates.

·         Monitor adherence to customer specific materials management processes and procedures to ensure compliance.

·         Achievement of all pre-cycle, cycle and annual stock checks of customers' material in accordance with agreed stock accuracy targets.

·         Comply with Level 1 of HSE Employee Responsibility and Accountability.

·         Comply with Level 1 of Peterson Values and Behaviours. 

 

Performance Measure

Performance will be reviewed against objectives set during employee appraisal and feedback from internal and external customers. 

Qualifications and experience

·         Significant experience in a warehousing and material management environment.

·         Working expereicne of inventory management and material management software, for example SAP or equivalent.

·         Offshore experience desirable but not essential.

·         BOSIET (Basic Offshore Dafety Induction and Emergency Training) and MIST (Minimum Industry Safety Training) desireable but not essential.
