Our experienced and diverse Engineering team has provided international engineering support to the Oil and Gas Industry for 23 years. They work in conjunction with the other services offered by Fearnley Procter and provide assistance in all aspects of Well Engineering. The Fearnley Procter Engineering team provides worldwide access to experienced engineers in many disciplines who specialise in failure investigations and preventative measures to avoid costly failures in the first place.

Title: Head of Engineering

Reports to: Director of International Operations and Business Strategy

Responsibilities:

?This role requires an experienced and qualified Engineer with practical experience of wellbore construction, with an emphasis on detailed knowledge of drilling and completion equipment. The role also requires managerial skills, including the ability to inspire and coach the Engineering team, a knowledge of and head for business and the desire to assist with business growth and development.

Essential Skills:

Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering Oilfield experience, preferably including offshore, with an operator, engineering company or major service company Detailed knowledge of drilling and completion equipment including drillstring and BHA (including 'smart' tools - MWD/LWD, Rotary steerable etc.) Knowledge of oilfield equipment standards, API, NS, DS Experience in equipment failure investigation Good report writing and numeracy skills Desirable Skills:

Managerial experience Ability to lead and inspire a team International experience Location: This role can be based at Aberdeen, Dubai or Houston (applicant to specify preference).
