Under broad direction, oversees the inventory management functions for the area supported to include: ordering, processing goods issues /receipts, coordination of inventory reduction and redeployment of excess inventory, and inventory physical verification.

Coordinates with Product Service Line operations to set and monitor inventory levels that optimize the company’s cash flow and reduce the risk of inventory becoming excess or obsolete, while ensuring continuity of supply for ongoing operations. Role will have direct responsibility for team leadership and management of the training programs, and can potentially manage operations in multiple facilities within the region. Also responsible for making decisions regarding, and/or making recommendations regarding, the hiring and firing of employees.  

Qualifications:

Detailed knowledge of inventory management functions. Understanding of the sales order process as applicable to materials. The position requires cross-functional collaboration and communication skills across Product Service Lines as well as other support functions.  This position will actively promote lean and continuous improvement initiatives to further streamline warehousing operations and comply with the company’s safety program. Demonstrate ability to lead a small team (10 direct reports). Knowledge of bulk materials handling and storage methods. Strong SAP knowledge is required Demonstrated analytical and problem solving abilities required Microsoft office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) experience is required.  

two year degree plus eight years related experience in a warehouse or operations environment; or completion of a four year degree plus four years related work experience in a warehouse or operations environment
