Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

Provide geotechnical engineering specialist consultation to support offshore and onshore capital projects and operations, particularly when faced with complex design challenges. Plan and oversee from scope definition to completion site characterization studies (desktop assessments, shallow water and deepwater geologic and geotechnical site investigations, interpretation of geohazards and geotechnical design parameters) Provide onboard/onsite oversight and quality control during geotechnical and geologic investigations worldwide. Provide onsite technical support during the installation of critical foundation elements, such as anchors and driven pile foundations for permanent offshore facilities. Actively pursue geotechnical engineering technology development technology deployment opportunities, development of internal technical standards, contribute to multi-disciplinary studies, promote operational excellence and share lessons learned. Required Qualifications:

Master’s degree or higher in Geotechnical Engineering. A minimum of 12 years of offshore geotechnical engineering experience, including site investigation techniques and planning, field and laboratory testing programs, identification of geotechnical properties and parameters for design, offshore foundation design, application of geotechnical methods to geohazard evaluations, and related project engineering experience within the offshore oil and gas industry. Solid foundation and advanced skills in geotechnical engineering with strengths in development of comprehensive site characterization studies and investigations, laboratory testing programs and foundation engineering design under complex loading conditions. Hands-on experience with geotechnical design practices, analysis methods and tools. Strong oral and written communication skills including email, technical memoranda and reports and presentations.  Ability to make effective and appropriate presentations covering a wide range of objectives, including highly technical, non-technical, and recommendations to management.
