 Overview: Chevron Upstream Europe currently has an offshore opportunity for a Control Room Operator on one of our UK Assets. This position will be working as part of a multi-discipline team. The successful candidate should be a highly articulate and effective communicator with excellent team building & interpersonal skills. Prepared to assist with a variety of tasks to a level consistent with knowledge and training.Key Job Responsibilities

Responsible for the continued safe & efficient operation of all topsides, sub-sea process, utility equipment and production in accordance with CUE operating procedures and guidelines. Safe and efficient operation of Process Plant and associated Systems using SCADA/DCS, optimisation of production targets, flare and diesel consumption. CCR emergency duties and procedures First stop Focal point for communications with onshore Teams – includes well performance, well intervention, production forecasts, gas export, breakdown Maintenance, and high level planned maintenance. Responsible for all central control room activities by setting priorities, providing work direction / counsel and immediate supervision to core crew operation  and maintenance technicians, long term contractors  and specialist vendors in order to meet team goals and objectives as defined in the business plan and operational excellence principles.

The range of systems is extensive and includes but is not limited to the following:

ESD/Fire & Gas Systems Oil Production Monitoring well performance, including Electrical Submersible Pumps / Hydraulic Submersible Pumps (ESP/HSPs), Subsea controls package, Production and Test Separators, Heat  Exchangers and Crude export pumps

Production Optimisation Continuously and effectively communicate with onshore petroleum engineers to establish optimum production strategies to maximise oil production, maintain reservoir integrity and carry out well testing programs.

Gas Compression Reciprocating and Centrifugal Compressors, Scrubber Vessels, Heat Exchangers, Glycol gas dehydration package.

Water Injection & Power Water Systems Booster and Main Water Injection & Power Water pumps, Heat Exchangers, Chemical Injection Packages, Xmas Tress, Subsurface Safety Valves, Hydraulic Control Panels.

Support Systems Gas Turbines, Emergency Diesel Generators, Emergency Fire Pumps, Seawater lift pumps and cooling systems, Air Compressors, Heating Medium systems including Waste Heat Recovery Units (WHRU) Environmental Take a proactive approach to eliminate or reduce potential environmental impacts due to such items as loss of containment e.g. oil spill, discharge to the sea and flare emissions

Required (Basic) Qualifications

Minimum 5 years’ experience as CRO is desired although candidates with less experience will be considered Proven Petrochemical competency and ability to demonstrate a Mechanical aptitude and have the ability to compile Technical Reports pertaining to Plant/ Systems Operations SVQ3 Processing Operations: Hydrocarbon (Control Room), or equivalent qualification Candidates should have previous Permit to Work experience as Authorised Isolator or equivalent Demonstrate good teamwork and interpersonal skills and ability to thrive in a close, multi-discipline environment and have the ability to carry out Leadership roles when required and as part of career development. Proactive approach to HE&S initiatives Candidates should hold a valid Offshore Communication Service (OCS) Radio Station Operators Certificate of Competence, or demonstrate the ability to attain the competency.
