Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Mechanic Specialist located at Dollarhide FOT in Andrews, Texas through July 10, 2017 at 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time). The Mechanic will assume the responsibility of safely maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment associated with oil and gas production operations and processing. Requisition ID: 175404Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to: ·  Actively support Health, Environment, and Safety processes by accomplishing daily activities within applicable regulations and policies, carrying out duties in an environmentally conscious manner, following safe operating practices as described in the MCBU Safe Practice Manual, maintaining a safe working environment, and being prepared to respond to an environmental or safety event. ·  Maintain and provide input into the Energy Management and Surface Facilities Optimization Scorecards to measure the efforts to reduce emissions and fuel and control costs of operating all process equipment. ·  Partner with other employees and contractors to ensure that all equipment is operating at peak efficiency. ·  Maintains “open-line” of communication with Field and Plant Specialists. ·  Reviews and approves contract mechanic invoices for third party companies, oversee contractor crews when appropriate. ·  Responsible for monitoring all lube/oil inventories and delivery programs’, works with SCM to replace as needed. ·  Reviews replacement part inventories, utilizes SCM to purchase any repair and replacement parts. ·  Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for work planning and prioritization to generate and close out all mechanical related work orders for mechanical equipment in the field and plant. ·  Utilize TIF and MSW to effectively plan, develop and execute work. ·  Participates in work permitting process and participates in site reviews regarding the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) program. ·  Conducts on site Behavioral Base System (BBS) observations. ·  Drive the use of sound Reliability Engineering concepts and principles. ·  Assists Operations Supervisor and Facilities Engineer with data gathering in support of Compression Optimization Program ·  Assist with job scoping of compressor change out or replacement work. ·  Serve as a team member in Recip Trap, Equipment Vibration Analysis, Gas Leak Detection and IR Camera programs. ·  Other duties as assigned.Required Qualifications: ·  Minimum of 6 months current related industrial mechanical or oil and gas industry experience. ·  Must live within 50 miles of the work place or be willing to relocate and possess a valid driver's license. ·  Drives on a routine basis ·  Ability and willingness to work weekends and holidays on assigned work schedule and overtime as work load demands. ·  Demonstrated commitment to Chevron Way Values.Preferred Qualifications: ·  Associates of Applied Science degree or higher or Military Occupation Specialty (MOS) in Compression, Industrial Maintenance Technology or related mechanical technology discipline. ·  2 years current industrial mechanical experience, with emphasis on reciprocating engines, compressors, centrifugal compressors, turbines, centrifugal and reciprocating pumps, and generators. ·  Familiarity with reliability efforts for a variety of safety, environmental and production related issues. ·  Ability to perform troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of major oil and gas production and facility process systems. ·  Familiarity with SCADA systems with ability to perform predictive failure analysis. ·  Basic knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.), CMMS, and an aptitude for learning new software applications. ·  Ability to perform multiple tasks with limited supervision. ·  Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with in a diverse team.Relocation Options: Relocation will be considered within Chevron parameters.International Considerations: Expatriate assignments will not be considered.
