We explore, produce and transport crude oil and natural gas; refine, market and distribute fuels and other energy products; manufacture and sell petrochemical products; generate power; and develop future energy resources, including biofuels and geothermal energy.Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Accounting Analyst located in Bangkok, Bangkok /Thailand through July 7, 2017 at 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time).Requsition ID#174501Being flexible to assume any one of the following roles and responsibilities.  The initial role in Chevron Thailand Finance will be the frist step for a succesful candidate to begin experience with our team to learn our business and adjust to new environment.  There are many opportunities afterward to move to different roles in Finance function as it is part of our people development strategy.   Account Payable functionResponsible for invoice processing both 3rd party invoices and intercompany invoices Ensure that applicable VAT, withholding taxes are applied properly.  Verify double tax treaty to avoid over or under payment of tax.  Review and reconcile monthly withholding tax filing prior to submission to the  Revenue Department Handle Intercompany invoices billing out to Chevron affiliates both inside and outside Thailand Ensure all intercompany balances in both restricted and realignment account were settled in timely manner. Monitors open items in Accounting System and ensures the balances were matched and settled in the system accordingly. Manages completion, per monthly closing schedule, of AP and Intercompany activities.Financial Services FunctionReview and verify invoices. Ensure accuracy and consistency of charge codes. Ensure that all expenses being approved according to Delegation of Authority.  Resolve issue related to invoice processing dealing with both internal and external stakeholders and any intercompany related issue. Review and monitor work order processing. Responsible for assigned account reconciliation related to AP and Intercompany activities. Monitors Intercompany balance and coordinate to clear account imbalance.General Accounting FunctionRecord day-to-day and monthend closing transactions pertaining to GL tasks, i.e. OPEX Accrual, Pension, Operator fee/C&S, Revaluation, Capital Lease, Working Capital, Amortization OPEX Cost transfer or other adjustments Cutback, review and resolve errors Quarterly accounting system reconciliation, and fix discrepancies Analyze Income Statement & Balance Sheet and present variance analysis and explanations Prepare account reconciliationsInternal /Contract Audit FunctionEvaluates internal controls and compliance with Chevron policies and procedures, including contract terms and conditions. Works within or leads a team, depending on experience, and will be involved a range of challenging, varied and skills demanding for ASBU Upstream operations Analyses and tests processes, especially related to Procure-to-Pay and contracting processing.
