Overview / Responsibilities

Amec Foster Wheeler Environment & Infrastructure is currently seeking a Project Manager to join our team in San Diego, CA.

 

The objective is to produce a result (project management, data analysis and conclusions, recommendations, etc.) which satisfies the client's needs. Perform related responsibilities as assigned to oversee and manage multiple concurrent construction tasks in the field and project management.

 

Key Responsibilities

Project manage multiple projects for a DoD client for environmental restoration type projects Ability to work independently as well as support and assist project management team Provide mentoring and project level technical guidance / direction to junior project level engineers/geologists/scientists Be responsible for Project level management, oversight of project work elements, logistics, schedules and reporting as required to advance project progress Provides technical supervision and assistance to ensure project activities are technically valid and results are coordinated for project continuity and control Acting as a working manager, serves to coordinate all technical activities in an efficient manner to ensure that the project requirements and deadlines are met Coordinate technical activities with other professionals and field personnel Maintain up to date records including correspondence, progress submittals, schedules, meeting documents, reports, and other documents necessary to document project activities Coordinate the preparation of required interim and final deliverables for projects in his or her charge Prepare and recommend scientifically valid and appropriate quality assurance measures for technical assignment Act as liaison with other professionals and field personnel to accomplish the efficient and smooth implementation of project directives Proposal preparation Skills / Qualifications

BS or MS in an environmental related degree such as engineer, geologist, or scientist 10+ years’ experience performing work at petroleum, RCRA, and CERCLA contaminated sites At least 2 years’ experience as a Project Manager, preferably with DoD clients Strong oral and written communication skills Knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint is preferred A valid driver's license is required Ability to work on US military bases is required Some travel required (<5%) Diversity Statement
