Description

This position is accountable for the long and short range planning of forecast materials and resource utilization with the plant inventory, productivity and customer service.This position is also responsible for communication and coordination with sales and external customers.The incumbent is responsible for ensuring the on time deliveries to customers, on time receipts from vendors, plant productivity as affected by shop scheduling, inventory turns, purchased price variances and compliance to period cost budget.Provide vision to long range plant improvement.Act as the liaison with other departments to develop and implement the master production schedule in support of the overall plant business plan.Provide sufficient security and accountability for the plant's inventory assets.Management of all functions in attainment of operating and budget objectives.Management of Department's quality and safety programs.Establishment and guidance of department's annual goals and objectives.


To qualify, the incumbent will have a Bachelor's Degree in Materials, Business, Engineering or related discipline.A minimum of seven to ten (7-10) years experience in purchasing, inventory management or production control.Preferred Qualifications: Certification of qualifications by APICS (CPIM) and/or PMA (CPM). SAP skills. Knowledge of forecasting and planning calculations.
