Supervise geoscience contribution to well design including location and target zones, well path and geo-steering requirements Identify and progress material unconventional well programs that test new reservoirs/field extensions/play extensions so that the identified programs reach Execution Readiness Identify, mature, and develop new plays, concepts, leads on and around existing acreage Lead team in populating, prioritizing and high grading the portfolio of new opportunities for the Business Unit, ensuring that prioritization is done with consideration of value and risk Use geospatial and other competitor and partner data to identify potential new areas of interest on and around BP’s existing acreage Utilize existing development frameworks to support geologist and geophysicist staff development.

Requirements
5+ years of experience specifically in unconventional geoscience with an Independent oil and gas company executing a fast paced, multiple rig development program Experience in multiple unconventional reservoirs across US onshore Experience in geo-steering in horizontal wells Experience across the Access (leasing and asset acquisition), Exploration, Resource Appraisal, Development and Production value chain Highly Self-motivated, a high level of individual initiative and passion to be premier, and ability to handle multiple tasks with minimal supervision Ability to prioritize work in a high activity environment Ability to influence and work effectively with others, including field-based personnel. Demonstrated planning, organizational, and communication skills
