Job Summary:

Access, troubleshoot, tune controllers, and manipulate all DCS applications from adding I/O inputs to building logic for new inputs for new equipment added to the plant Determine the proper and safe actions required for repair, maintenance and calibration of all site equipment Program, repair and maintain plant Bailey Infi 90 computerized plant monitoring system and plant PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) systems Repair, inspect, and maintain the overhead cranes and all systems that move fuel and remove residue Calibrate, scale and maintain plant instruments and controls, including all peripheral equipment at plant stand-alone PLCs Install new plant instrumentation and controls, i.e., install wires to computer when new equipment is installed. Assist other electrical maintenance personnel when necessary Follow all Environmental, Health and Safety rules and regulations. Keep work area clean, safe and orderly Reorder spare parts of turbine generator instruments, control circuits, combustion controls, drum level controls, recording devices, alarm circuits and settings, calibrationTest and troubleshoot pneumatic, electrical and electronic components down to the printed circuit board level Employee would be required to work overtime throughout the year during plant shutdowns and outages Perform other duties as deemed necessary by the E/I Supervisor or as determined by plant management

?Requirements:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required Technical/college schooling in electricity, electronics, physics, chemistry, computer programming, programmable logic controller programming and/or math required Journeyman electrician/technician license is desirable. Electrical degree, trade school diploma and other electrical and controls training is a plus. 3+ years of experience as an I&E TechExperienced in electrical safety and knowledge of NEC (national electrical code) Ability to read and interpret documents such as rules, technical procedures, operating and maintenance instructions, and other procedure manuals Must be able to access, troubleshoot, and manipulate ladder logic in PLC systems Proficient in pressure and temperature calibration of gauges, transmitters, IR temperature indications, RTDs, thermocouples, and any other measuring instruments that provide control functions
