POSITION TITLE:  I&E Reliability EngineerLOCATION: Houston NES Global Talent is a leading global technical recruitment company providing professional contract and permanent staff to a diverse world-wide client base within the oil & gas industry. Our client, a chemicals operator is looking to hire a I&E Reliability Engineer on a direct hire basis. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIESProvide I/E Reliability support to the Gulf Coast Region operating facilities to ensure equipment integrity is preservedInteracts with the project engineering group to coordinate details of project execution and coordinates with and supervises various contractor and maintenance groups to ensure timely and cost effective project completionUnit maintenance, particularly the electrical and instrument departments to assist in troubleshooting and development of procedures and practicesProvide leadership to improve equipment reliability and reduce vulnerabilitiesApply proactive reliability processesBe the focal point for plant I/E electronic documents and drawingsTroubleshoot, along with I/E techs, operations staff, daily instrument and electrical problemsInitiate and implement I/E MOCsOptimize equipment spare parts and predictive/preventative maintenance practices to ensure required reliability at lower costEnsure reliability/maintenance issues are considered and addressed on new equipment installations ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTSElectrical Engineering degree with 5 years reliability/engineering experience in a chemical/petrochemical plantA strong demonstrated competence in Electrical Equipment (i.e. high voltage systems, power distribution, motors, UPS systems)
