Technical Instructor/Senior Technical Instructor
Xcel Energy has an exciting opportunity for a Lineman Technical Instructor or Senior Technical Instructor to join our team in Henderson, Colorado.

Position Summary
Provide professional safety/technical training on topics related to energy production/delivery. Utilize systematic approach to training to develop and maintain training materials. Develop evaluation instruments and collect trainee and stakeholder feedback for program improvements. Position may require extended periods of time at the customer site.
Essential Responsibilities •Implement the systematic approach to training process to deliver training. •Provide support to training process unique to electrical training including customer contacts to represent Safety and Technical Training services. •Meet continuing technical, professional and instructional requirements by adhering to a self-development plan. •Fully utilize business processes (scorecard, marketing strategies, manufacturing-analysis, design, development, delivery and evaluation) project management, and daily management. •Consult with customer to identify business needs and objectives. Provide customer contact for training services, products and programs. •Design effective instruments and perform statistical analysis to evaluate overall effectiveness. •Coordinate and facilitate special projects.
Technical Instructor Minimum Requirements •Associates or Bachelors degree in Engineering, Safety, Education or technical field related to the subject(s) in which the individual will provide instruction is preferred, or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent technical knowledge is required (specialized trade school, instructor certification, military training, journeyman training). •Minimum of 3 years practical experience in technical field (Journeyman Lineman and/or substation experience preferred). •Must have strong communication and presentation skills. •Must know and apply OSHA/safety and environmental practices to industry standards. •Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to effectively use Microsoft Office applications.
Senior Technical Instructor Minimum Requirements •Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Safety, Education, or technical field related to the subject(s) in which the individual will provide instruction is preferred, or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge (specialized trade school, instructor certification, military training, journeyman training) is required. •Minimum 5 years of training experience. •Strong communication and presentation skills are required. •Demonstrated knowledge and application of adult learning principles. •Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to effectively use Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred
Journeyman Lineman or substation experience
