Maintenance Plant Supervisor

Position includes maintenance mechanic, electrician, welder and Preventive Maintenance Mechanic.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

Repairing plant equipment, mobile equipment, electrical repairs/installation, fabrication/machining of parts and servicing mobile/plant equipment. Meet ISO/API quality standards. Supervision of contractors and fitters, and scheduling of work in coordination with mine superintendent.

Previous Experience and Competencies:

Education: Ideally minimum HND in engineering.  May or may not require maintenance certificates.

Experience: Previous employment consideration, proficient as a technician/craftsman, experience of supervision preferred.    

QHSE Responsibilities: Be responsible for compliance with regulatory requirements and the Company's procedures and guidelines in the performance of their duties.  Perform their job safely and in an environmentally responsible manner.  Continually inspect their work areas for unsafe or substandard conditions or unsafe work practices.  Correct or take interim action on any unsafe or substandard conditions or practices that they observe and report to the immediate supervisor. Participate, as required, in all training classes and exercises.  Participate, as required, in all QHSE performance development activities and systems. Ongoing QUEST and HSE Mines Regulations training.
