Our client is hiring a Maintenance Plant Supervisor based in Perth and Kinross on a Staff basis. Job Summary: 1)Position includes maintenance mechanic, electrician, welder and Preventive Maintenance Mechanic. Relationships:1) Direct report: Mine Superintendent2) Functional report: Mine ManagerEssential Responsibilities and Duties:1) Repairing plant equipment, mobile equipment, electrical repairs/installation, fabrication/machining of parts and servicing mobile/plant equipment.2) Meet ISO/API quality standards. Supervision of contractors and fitters, and scheduling of work in coordination with mine superintendent.3) A hands on technically multiskilled individual as the position will have to supervise, fault diagnose and maintain standards across all mine equipment including:- a) Diesel & hydraulic systems on mobile plant b) Compressed air system and air powered drilling equipment c) Auto-electrical systems on mobile plant d) Pumps and fans supplied by 415 and 1000v 3phase supply with associated switch gear e) Welding and fabrication for repairs and steelwork installations underground f) Familiarity with control electronics, engine managements systems, and computer based maintenance systems g) Supervision of staff and contractors as required, and work extremely flexibly as part of a small team.Previous Experience and Competencies:1) Education: Ideally minimum HND in engineering. May or may not require maintenance certificates. 2) Experience: Previous employment consideration, proficient as a technician/craftsman, experience of supervision preferred. QHSE Responsibilities: 1) Be responsible for compliance with regulatory requirements and the Companys procedures and guidelines in the performance of their duties. 2) Perform their job safely and in an environmentally responsible manner. 3) Continually inspect their work areas for unsafe or substandard conditions or unsafe work practices. 4) Correct or take interim action on any unsafe or substandard conditions or practices that they observe and report to the immediate supervisor. Participate, as required, in all training classes and exercises. 5) Participate, as required, in all QHSE performance development activities and systems. 6) Ongoing QUEST and HSE Mines Regulations training.
