ROV SYSTEMS ENGINEER- LEAD MECHANICALThe following is essential for this position:Previous offshore experience with ROV systems/operationsGood communication skills, ability to communicate with several departments to coordinate ROV supportExperience with Mechanical/Hydraulic systems used on ROV systemsUniversity degree in Mechanical engineeringAbility to lead a teamResponsibilities:Develop upgrades and modifications required on the ROV system, including revising drawings and documentationAssist with trouble shooting ROV breakdowns, creating work instructions to assist with fault findingDevelop detailed technical specification for ROV componentsWrite and review technical operation and maintenance manuals for all components of ROV systemsCreate technical bulletins advising technical improvements/recommendationsInvestigate component failures to establish the root cause and provide recommendations to improve reliabilityAssist with technically evaluating ROV components, ensuring there technically suitable for our applicationEnsuring ROV systems drawings manuals and data books are accurateDevelop and maintain ROV engineering support proceduresTake the lead for all mechanical/Hydraulic ROV engineering supportResponsible for the coordination and production of FEA/FMEA reports for all ROV system componentsProvide engineering assistance related to ROV toolingLiaise with other engineering departments/regions with respect to ROV engineering related projectsSupplier surveillance (both 3rd party and in house) performing quality checks and witnessing testsProvide engineering support for ROV workshop during ROV system refurbishmentsFocal point for all ROV and ROV handling system engineering
