~~Purpose of the job Offshore Inspection Engineer with responsibility for day-to-day co-ordination of all inspection and corrosion management activities carried out on above water facilities. Context ? Business Unit: Integrity Engineering ? Department: Contract as required ? MT member: No Characterization • Understands technical or professional aspects of work and continually maintains technical knowledge.  Ability to deploy discipline specific engineering and operational standards. • Management and supervision of discipline issues and personnel, direction to colleagues on cost, service, technology issues.  Provide functional guidance to visiting inspection vendors or other subcontractors on discipline specific matters.  Ensure that work is of a quality to meet company standards and is produced in a timely and cost effective manner. • Acts as company focal point for Stork Integrity Engineering Business Offshore to ensure the Technical Assessment of assets can be carried out with the correct technical justification by ensuring the Inspection of items is carried out in accordance to the requirements • Ensures all activities are completed in compliance with HSE legislation Result areas

1. Contract Delivery

• Provide primary interface between onshore inspection and integrity engineering team and NDT personnel. • Functionally report to the Offshore Installation Manager for the provision and co-ordination of all Inspection Services. • Assure offshore inspections are implemented and completed as scheduled and supervise Inspection Team on a continual basis at offshore arrival, daily briefings and de-mobilisation. • Assure the Inspection Team understands the work scope, the associated risks and that the work is completed and reported as specified in the work scope to the physical item • Discuss and agree remedial action with Client through the Application of judgment and experience in the assessment of defects found. • Track the status of all in progress inspection, integrity and corrosion monitoring activities on the installation via the Compliance List and update the maintenance management system. • Monitoring of existing anomalies and temporary repairs and where necessary report and recommend on the status of these repairs. • Highlight through the Inspection Quire (IQ) process the potential for cumulative risk. • Highlight critical anomalies to onshore personnel in accordance with IQ procedure. • Define when an IQ should be raised in according to the IQ guidance. • Raise Work Requests for client approval within Maximo for Fabric Maintenance Issues. • Ensure IQ database / Register is updated in a timely manner in accordance to the IQ process. • Participate in all strategy reviews to assist in the development of inspection programmes and where necessary develop detailed plans, programmes and work scopes • Participate in shutdown strategy reviews to assist in the development of annual inspection programs • Participate in operational risk assessments and prepare Permit to Work and supporting ISSOW documentation for all scheduled inspection, integrity and corrosion monitoring activities. • Liaise with client offshore maintenance and operations to assure maximisation of opportunistic inspection of vessels, plant and equipment and ensure ad-hoc inspections are completed. • Support the Offshore Installation Manager/Supervisor appropriately in all inspection related activities (laggers, scaffolders, painters, welders etc) • Ensure Regulatory and client standard compliance • Track the status of all in progress inspection, integrity and corrosion monitoring activities on the installation via the Compliance List and update of maintenance management system. • Issue daily and end of trip progress reports. • Raise (where appropriate) repair work orders and track progress to completion. • Provide discipline inspection and corrosion team representation at offshore meetings. • Assist Integrity Engineers in developing overall asset risk profiles.

Result: Ensure Service delivery meets with both strategic and regulatory aims. 2. Reporting & Compliance

• Check and endorse inspection reports upon satisfactory review against the work pack requirements and ensure they are uploaded to the clients Maintenance Management System against the appropriate Work Order. • Periodically audit the installation temporary repairs and anomalies for compliance with the appropriate registers and report continued physical integrity suitability status.

Result: Ensure processes and systems follow regulatory requirements to meet with quality standards and achieve Functional objectives. 3. HSEQ

? Contribute to Stork HSEQ-policies. ? Ensure robust processes of work management and assurance are in place across their Product Line(s) and that each key account manager has an understanding of the business risk involved in non-compliance with these processes. ? Ensure HSEQ-policies for service delivery business activities are in line with legal requirements, recommendations of Stork and client requirements. ? Ensure all HSEQ-policies and regulations within Service Delivery are maintained and regularly reviewed. ? Ensure that all business in conducted in compliance with Stork legal, legal and CSR policies and standards.

Experience Essential • Experience of 'in-service' plant inspection and NDT in an offshore environment • Proven ability to work without supervision and to provide effective supervision to others • Experience in inspection in a relevant process industry with the majority of the above experience elements.  In particular, experience in the application of inspection tools and techniques. • Ability to read and interpret commonly used engineering drawings and data sets used in support of inspection activities, e.g. piping isometrics, vessel general arrangements, piping and instrumentation diagrams, process flow diagrams, piping schedules. • Detailed knowledge of the uses and limitations of commonly applied non-destructive examination techniques applied in support, e.g. MPI, DPI, UT measurement, Rad techniques. • Working knowledge of the use and limitations of specialist NDE techniques applied in support of above water inspection and monitoring programmes, e.g. pulsed eddy current, thermography, time of flight diffraction, CHIME, etc. • Clear understanding of major discipline issues arising from oil and gas production systems.  Awareness of materials and key degradation mechanisms associated with the deterioration of offshore production facilities. • Awareness of piping and vessel design codes, e.g. ASME VIII, PD5500, ASME B31.3. • Computer literate with proven ability to use common Microsoft Office packages. • Proven ability to work without supervision and to provide effective supervision to others. • Ability to effectively communicate and articulate inspection and corrosion issues at all levels within offshore organisation. • Ability to communicate fluently and effectively, in the English language, with peers, direct reports, sub-contract personnel and immediate management. Desirable • Experience as an Offshore Inspection Engineer with an Oil or Petro-Chemical Background • Familiar with typical design codes and standards for offshore pressure systems and the application and use in fitness for service assessments. • Working knowledge of key legislation and regulatory framework applicable to offshore regime with understanding of major accident hazards, performance standards, assurance and verification activities. • Competent in the application of 'un-engineered' temporary repair techniques available for offshore process and utility piping and vessels systems, e.g. box clamps, composite repairs, etc. • Awareness of paint coat specifications and associated applications. • Familiar with typical corrosion monitoring equipment and associated practices and procedures for retrieval.  Capable of performing download of Data Collection Units. • Competent in maintenance management database systems.
