Job description:  

Who We Are Looking For:

We are currently recruiting a Head of Asset Integrity on permanent basis located at our Head Office in Aberdeen. The purpose of the job is to; lead the Asset Integrity Function (including Supply Chain) within the Offshore Business Unit, assist in setting the policy and associated control and governance processes relating to the equipment and maintenance of our assets, project management, the purchase of goods and services and the effective management and control of inventory. Provide guidance to the Offshore Business Unit on all aspects of Asset Integrity Management.   Establish and maintain effective internal and external relationships mitigating risk throughout the asset integrity and supply chain functions, promoting safe, effective, trouble free operations.

 

Responsibilities:  

  •    Sustain an effective Asset Integrity Function within the Offshore Business Unit, setting functional targets that drive performance improvement and effectively support the operation to meet profitability and growth plans  
  •    Support the development and implementation of a robust E&M, Project Management and SCM governance programme within the Offshore Business Unit, ensuring ABC compliance at all times and the function conforms to all Company Policies and Standards  
  •    Conduct regular client liaison reviewing and amending Asset Integrity strategies to align with client and KCAD requirements  
  •    Assign appropriate resources to support growth projects within the Business Unit, identifying and mitigating potential risks, ensuring E&M and SCM criteria are considered and that the project is executed in line with the Project Management Process.  
  •    Drive the development and implementation of Asset Integrity training, competency and career development strategy. Ensure the function is resourced appropriately and deliver an effective succession plan for the Asset Integrity function within the Offshore Business Unit.  
  •    Contribute to the continual development and improvement of the Asset Integrity Policy and Framework including Standards, Procedures and Work Instructions, championing the use of standard processes for the functions activities where practical.  
  •    Develop Contracting Strategy for the Business Unit and implement this strategy in accordance with SCM Contracting Principles. Ensure robust contract management processes are implemented for all contracts utilising competent SCM resources  
  •    Develop, implement and maintain a Logistics Strategy that fulfils requirements of the business, providing where required an overview of country specific customs requirements, mitigating risk and eliminating unnecessary costs associated with the import/export of goods.  
  •    Oversee the development and implementation of an Inventory Management Strategy. Establish targets with operations and finance and provide guidance, support, training and tools to enable countries to meet these targets.  
  •    Deliver an effective Supplier Performance Management Programme for Offshore BU fully aligning with corporate SCM. Maintain KPIs and provide feedback to suppliers on performance. In the process maintain effective relationships, positioning KCA Deutag to obtain the maximum value from suppliers whilst at all times adhering to KCA Deutag ethics standard.  
  •    Support the SCM Systems & Process to improve the functionality of the ERP system, increasing automation and delivering efficiencies within the purchase to pay and inventory management processes.  

Key Skills & Experience:

Minimum Qualifications:  

  •    MCIPs or MSc Supply Chain Management or   *   MSc in a relevant Engineering discipline or   *   MBA with focus on a relevant area  

Experience:  

  •    Proven experience (10 years) in a senior SCM, Projects or E&M management role with an Oilfield Operator, Drilling Contractor or Service Company.  
  •    Must have experience in defining long-term strategies and the delivery of the accompanying plans.  

Job Specific Skills:  

  •    Competence in Asset Integrity methodologies and have been responsible for management of a substantial Asset Integrity Organisation.  
  •    Strong focus on Asset Integrity experience with the ability to interface with other functions at various levels to achieve objectives.  
  •    Proven track record in the definition, establishment, management and development of large teams  
  •    Must be well organised, proactive and a good communicator  
  •    Exceptional leadership skills and management capabilities
