Our client is currently recruiting for a Compliance Administrator on a 6 month contract basis in Aberdeen.ROLE SUMMARY:To provide administrative support to the Compliance Manager in the Core Compliance Team. The role will include the preparation of reports, administration of group policies, assisting the business with queries relating to administrative tasks performance of control measures and other adhoc tasks as assigned by the Compliance Manager.As a member of the UK Compliance team, the objective of the role is to assist with the management of regulatory risks in accordance with the Groups Risk Appetite Statement. Specifically, the Compliance function aims to provide a high degree of assurance that the Group meet its regulatory obligations in each applicable jurisdiction. The Compliance Department operates within Aberdeens second line of defence, as part of the wider Risk DivisionGroup Policies via My Compliance Office: To ensure the effective administration of group policies specifically the Group Code of Ethics Policy, Group Personal Account Dealing and Gifts and Hospitality Policies that are primarily administered via MyComplianceOffice. To provide Group Employees with advice on the application of those policies and practical advice on the use of the MyComplianceOffice System.Regulatory Licencing, Reporting and Notifications: To carry out Compliance Administration for the UK and any other regulators allocated to the Aberdeen Compliance Team in relation to regulatory approvals, licences and passports, individual authorisations/licences and regulatory returns.Major Shareholdings: To assist with scheduled administrative controls and Companies Act 793 reporting to issuers.EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:Confident IT skills (including Excel)Showing initiative and quick to learnStrong processing skills, as well as an analytical and systematic approach to workDetailed, methodical and accurateEffective communicator and ability to speak to employees at all levels within the organisationExperience with the asset management industry would be an advantageExperience within a Compliance environment would be an advantage
