Oceaneering AGV Systems is a division of Oceaneering International with headquarters in the Netherlands. Globally active in the material handling industry, Oceaneering AGV Systems develops, produces and markets Automated Guided Vehicle Systems (AGVs), servicing industries including Automotive, Pharmaceutical, Entertainment, Electronics and Warehousing.

As an International Service Engineer you are part of the Service Team that consists of 8 Service Engineers and will be responsible for the installation and commissioning of new Oceaneering AGV systems at our client locations both home and abroad, as well as independently installing, repairing, expansion and assembling our AGV's.

You must have the flexibility to cover at least 75% travel throughout Europe to fulfill consignment services for our cutomers.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:-

You will be responsible for the independent installation and commissioning of new Oceaneering AGV systems at client locations globally You will be responsible for the independent installation, repair, expamsion and assembly of our AGVs, and, if necessary will assist in maintenance work on location. Excellent technical judgment, and appreciable independent evaluation, creativity, and latitude in providing solutions are expected. The use of software tools in setting of components abd adjustments in the FROG operating system plays an important role in supporting the customer. You should be comfortable making small system modifications such as changing parameters or installing software updates. During major/large projects you will work closely with Software Engineers and Project Managers. You will report and communicate customer requests to the responsible Account Manager within Oceaneering. You will be expeted to give regular status updates to both the customer and internal resources, and to complete service reports for customer visits. You must be customer service oriented with a strong ethos towards customer satisfaction. Level headed even under stress, proactive and a go-getter

Education and/or Experience

MBO level 4/HBO in mechatronics or electronics information technology or similar. As a minimum 3-5 years in service engineering or similar Knowledge and experience with PLC's or software controlled systems, as well as experience in set-up and configuration of electronic devices such as PLC's and computers Experience in technical support or application software Ability to provide solutions driven expertise Experience AGV's, robotics and/or commissioning of vehicles is a plus Language Skills

Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Excellent communication skills both oral and written in Dutch, English and German are required

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have complete knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel.
