Description

The Design Draughtsperson will detail engineering of designs (including concept designs), and makes drawings for production and assembly of machinery (AGV) components and infrastructure.

The Design Draughtsperson will assist the mechanical engineeringwith the mechanical designas well as prepare and check assembly and fabrication drawings. The Draughtperson will assist the department System Engineering in making design drawings.

The Design Draughtsman will work as part of a project team, participating in all aspects of the planning, design and production of engineering designs and equipment

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:-

· Work within the day to day QA requirements and procedures of the Company

· Preparation of design and fabrication drawings to current standards

· Fill in technical details using drawings, rough sketches, specifications and calculations made by engineers

· Detailed design and drawings of AGV (automatic guided vehicle) components

· Drawing and designing of infrastructure components

· Maintaining data in our PDM system, and archiving and administration of drawings

· Input to proposals and marketing work in support of engineering and related product lines. Support sales department with concept renderings of 3D models

· Support engineering projects, products and equipment as required

· Delivery of drawings and BOM to support both purchasing and assembly

· Assist with the preparation of reports and design calculations, and assist with control of aspects of engineering projects with regard to technical matters

· Compile work instructions for assembly and service technicians

Education and/or Experience

MBO+ level in engineering or a demonstrated equivalent level of competence (or equivalent) is required; 1-3 years experience in a similar environment or field; relevant experience working on machinery and/or industrial automation is preferred; experience of designing equipment including mechanisms is essential

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Reasonable level of written and spoken English is required, and a good level of spoken and written German would be advantageous

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have complete knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and, PeopleSoft, as well as working knowledge of Solidworks 2016. Experience of AutoCAD and 3D CAD are preferred.
