Description

The Project Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the organizationandplanning of engineering, manufacturing, and service projects in order to meet project budgets and schedules. This role will interact as a bridge with internal and external groups such as engineering, supply chain, production, quality, customer representatives, and vendors. The coordinator assists in the development and statusing of project budgets, schedules, deliverables matrices, resource plans, and related elements as assigned.This position performs under the general direction of the Manager of Programs and reports to assigned Project Managers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:-

· Demonstrate positive personal and team relationship building and communication skills to maintain open dialog with key project leaders regarding budgeted/actual/forecasted demands

· Prepare documentation for and support in the organization of project meetings and events

· Assist in the development and monitor progress against project budgets andschedules

· Gather project-related data by various means and make updates to databases, spreadsheets, and plans

· Demonstrate proficiency using software tools to organize and share project data and documentation

· Import/export project-related data between systems

· Closely evaluate data with meticulous precision at the micro and macro levels

· Create, update, evaluate, and distribute reports and spreadsheets

· Create templates and update work instructions for routine procedures

· Occasionally, travel to/from office to production facilities and job sites

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

Completion of High School, Secondary School, or equivalent. Minimum two-year degree or equivalent experience.

Language Skills

English language professional working proficiency is required. Language proficiency in Dutch, German, Italian, or other European languages is desired.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have intermediate knowledge of or experience withMS Word and MS Excel. Experience with one or more project management software tools (e.g. MS Project) is desirable. Experience with one or more business presentation software tools (e.g. MS Visio or MS PowerPoint) is desirable.

The Project Coordinator is responsible for organizing planning and execution of engineering, manufacturing, and service projects in order to meet project schedules. This role will interact as a bridge with internal and external groups such as Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Purchasing, various program groups, customer representatives, and vendors. Assist in the development and statusing of project schedules. Track project cost as directed by Project Managers. Understand and maintain project deliverables matrices and materials tracking.
