OFFSHORE MAINTENANCE SUPERINTENDENT We are currently recruiting for an offshore Maintenance Superintendent on behalf of our oil and gas client. This is a staff position working a 3/3 rotation in the North Sea. Experience working on FPSOs and extensive experience as a Maintenance Supervisor is required.The Maintenance Superintendent is responsible to the OIM for:Regularly reporting to the OIM with the department status and operational issues.Assisting in the control of risk by ensuring that all relevant maintenance activities are proceduralised and are covered by the electronic permit to work system.Overseeing the electronic permit to work system to ensure permits are co-ordinated between Maintenance and other functions. Being department head for the electronic permit to work system.Completing regular permit to work audits to ensure that the system operates correctly.Ensuring that all staff including contractors, have adequate information to carry out tasks safely and efficiently, in compliance with control measures and site safety precautionsPerforming regular inspections of maintenance areas to verify company standards are maintained and routinely inspecting maintenance activities, to ensure compliance with safe working procedures and practices.Taking active participation in TRA's and accident/ incident investigations and properly reporting issues and collective actions.Leading investigations as directed by the OIM.Managing the resourcing of the department and development of personnel, including inductions and training.Liaising with onshore Operations & Engineering Support Teams and other contractors.Advising the OIM in an emergency situation and assist with emergency response co-ordination.Controlling the departmental budget and providing monthly forecasts. Lead in the preparation of the annual budget for departmental activities.Delivering agreed annual objectives within budget in the areas of responsibility.Communicating operational and maintenance issues to other departments i.e. Marine, Production, Safety and Catering.Inspections, repairs and surveys being carried out to meet regulatory requirements.Offshore focal point for all outside agencies for engineering and maintenance activities.Acting offshore as focal point for Maintenance Management System and ensuring data is maintained in the correct manner.Acting offshore as focal point for verification issues.Assisting in the creation and delivery of the Asset maintenance plan.Responsible for implementing and maintaining the utilities flexible hose registerDepartment Head and Area Authority for the Maintenance Department within the electronic permit to work system.Maintenance of safety critical equipment.Maintenance of Fire and Gas/ESD systems.Focal point offshore for Written Scheme of Examination (WSE).Monitoring and managing the maintenance backlog of maintenance group.Education & experience:Experience in a maintenance supervisory role on an FPSOApproved Awarding Body Engineering Qualification or Class 1 Marine EngineerOffshore certificates
