Role synopsis The Commissioning Manager has overall responsibility for plant commissioning energization, testing, and hand over of systems and equipment to the Operations team. The Commissioning Manager will work in a leadership role on the Project Management Team, owning the planning and implementation of site commissioning activities, following BP's Guidance on Certification (GOC), a commissioning turnover system. The Commissioning Manager will join the project and follow it through to completion of commissioning and start-up.

SPU / Function Global Projects Organization Key accountabilities: • Demonstrate personal HSSE leadership and excellent HSSE behaviors at all times, and ensure that safety expectations are managed, communicated and maintained. • Participate in design reviews, HAZOPS, and similar processes to assure that consideration for a safe and successful Commissioning and Startup is imbedded in the design. • Develop a Commissioning and Startup Philosophy and assure later that the EPC contractor turns that into detailed procedures. • Develop a system and subsystem breakdown and the procedures for turnover from Construction to Commissioning. • Recruit and Contract an owners commissioning team and support contractors for the Commissioning and Startup effort. • Interface with upstream projects to coordinate completion, commissioning and startup within the value chain. • Provision of the final Commissioning and hand over strategy. • Provision of the necessary administrative systems and control procedures for commissioning execution and hand over, inclusive of Startup manual. • Commissioning and equipment testing (FAT) being executed according to programs and specifications. • Act as engineering discipline representative in all matters regarding the implementation of commissioning requirements into the design. • Evaluation of commissioning spares and maintenance requirements. • Ensure that the Commissioning Department is adequately staffed at all times. • Liaise and support Operations with respect to preparations for hand over and start up. • Ensure that Operations personnel are adequately involved in the various equipment Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) as part of their training scheme. Essential Education a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent UK Degree is preferred but not essential.

Essential experience and job requirements: • Experience working as part of an Owner Operator's Project team. • Advanced relevant work experience, preferable in the oil and gas industry. • Extensive commissioning/commissioning management experience in Greenfield and Brownfield projects. • Willingness and ability to travel. • Demonstrate high ethical conduct in areas of procurement, contracts, evaluation of contractors and all other areas associated with procurement. • Desirable criteria and qualifications • Experience with diverse work forces would be desirable. • Relocation available • Possible relocation to Fabrication Yard. • Travel - 25% travel to fabricator during construction

Additional Details: Primarily Onshore, but could be offshore scope later in the project Possible relocation to fabricator towards the end of construction. Work Location: Contract Engineering Office
